Well since everyone is naming their favorite Buzzbait. I like
the Secret Weapons Buzzrbait. The main reason is it allows you to add a small blade behind the main buzzr and the fish will
hone in on this giving you a much better hook set. Try them you will like them..

Strictly Bass makes the best buzz bait in my opinion. Have caught many good keepers on this bait. For those who don't like throwing a buzzbait, my opinion is they fish it too fast and don't catch fish on it. Slow it down and whack 'em!!! Good luck.

    RE: Buzzaits

fishhunter named my favorite brand... chatterbuzz. These baits have a flat head that skims the water better, but more importantly they are designed so that the buzz blade strikes the head on each rotation.

As for colors, on KY and Barkley I prefer white or chartruese/white, unless it is low light, then I like the black version.

Now all that said, I don't fish a buzzbait much either. I don't like throwing them. Just a little something wrong with me I guess. I don't even get excited when I do catch bass on them, well not the way others seem too. I've bought several different brands, blade types, etc... even bought a dual blade based upon a report right before I went once this year, still no great deal for me.

I think the main reason is that I believe these to be shallow water baits, and I really don't fish that shallow that much. I don't fish real deep either, but I've always read that buzzbaits are best in 3=4 feet of water. I'm sure though others will tell you they are much more versital than that, and you will get a lot more great suggestions.

I have nine in my tackel box the last time i counted, they range from the most expensive to the cheepest. The one i reach for the most is the 3/8oz chatterbuzz. I get them at Backwaters for less than five bucks, the fish eat them up. You wont see them on their web site, but if you e mail them you can probley have them send you some, if your not close enough to backwaters. you may try bass pro or cabelas. happy huntin

I don't throw them a whole lot but when I do I use a heavier one for fast retrieve and a lighter one for a slow retrieve, single blades. You may have already determined this but that is about it as far as my selection. Remember to crimp those blades where they meet the shaft.

Cavitron makes the best buzzbait you can buy. They are hard to find though. Try going to their website at cavitronlures.com If you can find one better let me know.
