looking for a houseboat or a cabin to rent this weekend

probably a shot in the dark but Im going to post anyways. Ive got a group together from our church and we are looking for a houseboat to rent this coming up weekend ,mostly couples no partying, drinking or smoking. We are looking for a houseboat on Dale Hallow or Kentucky/Barkley. There are around 10 of us. Ive checked with all the marinas at Dale and they are all booked for the 4th of july weekend. Weve been renting Houseboats for about the last 6 years but I drug my feet this time. Also a house or cabin near any lake would probably do , we are just looking for a place to relax and do some bass fishing. If anyones got any ideas it would be greatly appreciated. I don't know about the lakes you mentioned, but State Dock is probably the only place on Cumberland that you might be able to find a boat.

Cumberland Cabins

LAST EDITED ON Jun-26-06 AT 00:15AM (EST)[p]Wolf Creek Outfitters has 2 cabins and a camping area.
It is located right below the dam on the Cumberland. Great Access to the lake, and the river is about 300 yards from the entrance to the property. Roy Schell owns the property and is a really nice fellow. The cabins have 2 bedrooms and kitchen area with bathroom. Satellite TV, Stereo, and other amenities too.
The park below the dam is right there as well as the Trout Hatchery for tours. The lake is at the top of the hill and there is a parking area for picnicking on the point. Fishing for any species you want within a mile of where you are at.
Neat set up. They also have couches in each cabin, and I THINK they will pull out..not sure.. 4 bedrooms.. X 2 = 8 plus the couches.. Roy may have an extra bed if you need it for the other 2 people.. Bathrooms may be tight but there are 2 instead of 1 like a Houseboat. Fishing Guide Available.

John Davis has 2 cabins that he rents on Dale Hollow, close to Holly Bay. He guides there, and he has pictures of them on his website smallmouthspecialty.com.

Kentucky Dam Marina and Green Turtle Bay (north Barkley) both rent houseboats...only way to find out if they have any available for your requested time frame is to call them. There are a large number of big houses that are rented out here to vacationers on Ky Lake...a call to the Marshall County Tourism and Lyon County Tourism Departments should get you a list of them you can call.
