Jim Strader will have Linda Hill from the Big Bass Big Cash tournament on the show Sunday. If you have any questions please call in Sunday and ask.
I have checked into this and the tournament is for real.
It is an Amature ONLY tournament.
Amature is defined by the organization as a person who does NOT derive the majority of their income from tournament income or from sponsorship.
There is a link on the front page of Fishin.com to the information on the tournament, as well as to entry printouts, and all info pertaining to the tournament.
The $50,000 is guaranteed, with only the smaller prizes depending on the entry of 1500 fishermen. This is a Big Bass Tournament and there will be hourly weigh ins for prizes.
This could become one heck of a big tournament this year and in the future.. so join in and lets all have a great day on the Ohio River and show the world how good the fishing is here on the Ohio River..

Jim, that is completely true. I never thought of it that way before. Imagine, only $55,000 entry fees for the BASS Elite series, and you are right... and if you went FLW, even better.
Also, thank you for locking the thread that so needed locking.

Linda Hill will be on the show today to talk about the tournament. Fishin.com will be at Cox's Creek the 3 days of the tournament to post hourly updates on the tournament and to take pictures of the fish brought in at Cox's Park.
IF anyone is going to be at the other locations and can take pictures of fish, please send them to me at [email protected] and I will post them when I get home in the evening and after the show next Sunday I will try to show the winner.

Today is the last day to pre-register!! We are still taking pre-registration until 5:00pm. Remember if you are pre-registered then you can put in ANYWHERE on the river--you don't have to check in at a weigh site before fishing. Any questions, call Linda Hill @ 800-896-0414.
For those of you who are waiting to see how this one goes and then getting in next year--you could be knocking everyone out of a next year. If the fishing community does not show support for this event this year we will not bring it back next year.
For those who do not trust the integrity of the event, keep in mind that we have put up $50,000 of our own money and we have no interest in giving it to someone who did not earn it honestly. A minimum of 90 polygraphs will be conducted for this tournament. All six hourly winners everyday at every weigh station. We are taking EVERY precaution to insure the integrity of this tournment.
