Fish the canal with small crank baits till dark, then throw a big black spinnerbait along the gravel banks on east side. Look out a big-ole brown fish might take your pole out of your hands.
Even if it's not a big one, you'll think it is. Good luck.

GPS with lake map, black lights and a spot light to be sure ;^)
I fished KY last week end and didn't do very good. I caught only 4 or 5 each night with 2 keepers each night. Saturday I was just rusty as can be and kept missing bites and shaking off fish at the boat. Wasn't a stellar bite but I should have caught 12 - 15. Sunday night was just dead. I just didn't have much action at all. Night fishing on KY can be good this time of year but I prefer it later in the summer when they start pulling the lake more consistently. Good luck if you get out.

Fished this past week dark till two or three in the morning, most of the fish I caught came on a 1/2 ounce brown inticer jig with speed vibe tailer in pumpkin color. Spent most of our time out on the main lake drops boat setting in 18 to 22 feet deep throwing up on 8 to 12 feet deep. Fish seemed to be in tight schools on cover. The last night at one time I made 9 casts and had 7 fish back to back most keepers all largemouth. I had my best luck when I was stroking the jig two to three feet off the bottom. Good luck Jarrod
Was out on Sunday night doing first night trip of the summer for me. Client had 15-20 fish (lm and sm)...all keepers but two or three..no really big fish but lots of fun. They were blade biting a lot and short hookups so he lost quite a number of fish. All were caught on dark spinnerbait.
Thanks for all the info. Cant wait to get there.
