I just got the call today, Mark is going to concentrate on the difference between fishing Barkly & KY lake, how the patterns aren't the same on both. See everyone there.

Tonight. Every Thursday in the Fall and spring we host fishing seminars at our store. It's $25 if you sign up for all 9 weeks or $5 at the door, so for you it would be $5 at the door. It starts at 6:30pm with a home cooked meal and then from 7-9pm we have the seminar. We usually get between 100-130 people and we also give away about 30 door prizes each night, you won't be dissapointed. For more info go to www.plapps.com

This sounds like a cool deal to learn a little more about Ky/Barkley and get a home cooked meal all for just 5.00. If I lived closer I would be there for sure.

You missed a great one if you weren't there. Mark is one of the best and it comes through in his seminars. We had around 120 people in attendance, the BBQ Pork Tenderloin and BBQ Pulled Pork was AWESOME. Next week Strictly Bass CEO John Duwel teaches us how to alter our fishing lures like the pros do.

    Thanks Plapps!!

This was the first of the seminars that I have attended and I have to admit it was really great.

For $5.00 Mrs. Fishhead and I (spouses are FREE, cheap date!!!LOL), had a really informative and interesting seminar on KY/Barkley, good eats and picked up about $30.00 in free tackle including 2 spools of Calcutta 10lb line, about 4-5 packs of plastics and a really nice set of Stainless forceps for hook removal. You cannot beat this deal!

If you fish Barkley/KY then this seminar was invaluable! Mark Menendez is a terrific speaker and his knowledge of the lakes is awesome. His seminar was based the difference in patterns/how you fish KY Lake versus Barkley, broken down by season, water levels and temps.

I learned a lot subtlties that would have taken years to pick on my own, he gave up some really usable tips in rigging, location, seasonal patterns, baits, map reading, structure and cover patterns/techniques. Plus a very thorough review of the current and water level effects on bass throughout the year.

And we got to meet Barkley!!

Thanks and cudos to Matt Plapp and the whole Plapps organization for a good night and for giving back to the fisherman!

    RE: Thanks Plapps!!

Last night I attended the seminar; my first at Plapps. Thanks Plapps, this was first class education and event all the way around.

I've been fishing KYL/Barkley for about 10 years; maybe 7-10 actual days of fishing on those water per year on average.

Mark taught me more about how I should be fishing them in 2 hours then I had figured out in the past 10 years. I could probably continue at my current rate for the remainder of my years and never learn 50% of what he shared last night.

Thanks to Plapps for putting on such a good event.

    RE: Thanks Plapps!!

Guys thanks for coming. I think these types of events are the best way to increase your fishing knowledge no matter your level of fishing. We had guys who fish Professionally there and guys who bank fish there, it was great.

Don't miss this weeks "Lure Modification" by John Duwel. He knows his stuff and I'm sure will have some awesome ideas.
