I had the same luck on the other end I fished from fishing creek to the north fork. Water temp up there was about the same 54 degrees.

Went to Cumberland last nite. Got there at 8:00 pm at the Dam. Fished until 2:00 am for smallies. Caught 1 12 inch smallie, not so good. Water temp on that end of the lake 56 degrees. Some wind blowing and nothing goin on. Bah Humbug. Fished from Dam to Jamestown trying different baits and different banks.

I fished Caney Saturday from noon until dark. Pulled umbrella rigs at various depths with no luck. I saw a few stripers jump but only 2 or 3 at a time, no big schools. Temp was 56 degrees. Maybe in another week or so they will turn on.
Come on man, I could show you how not to catch fish. Anyway, thx for the report.
Well I had big plans of going this weekend but after driving down Sunday and seeing the wind on the main lake I decided to keep the Nitro on the trailor, we did go down below the dam and caught our limit of trout in about 2 hrs though. It was a blast, I feel for you guys that had tough luck, the guys a LCO said that the "live bait" bite was really swinging right now.
