I am in the market for a handheld Garmin 76CS GPS and was wondering if anyone had any experience with gpsnow.com. Their prices are much lower than others and I thought may be there is a catch to it. Any advise would be appreciated.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-04-05 AT 01:25PM (EST)[p]Dude... I bought the same exact unit from them a year ago. It was a unopened box (new unit) and I use it every day . No catch. Their map software is still pretty close to msr value though. They make there profit by warehousing large amounts of units. They order enough of a unit to get wholesale discounts and then pass most of that on to the consumer.
I've put there web site on every gps thread I've replied to. I say go for it. If the unit is messed up garmin will honor warranties an the actual gps software get upgraded often. Just go to garmin.com for the upgrade and your unit will be better than it was out of the box. Hope this helps you out. I, for one was very happy with my experience with them.
take a look at ebay too. i just bought the map76cs on there for $400.
Thank you all for your responses. I'll go ahead and order from them. Thanks!
