I have heard all about the ability of the Float-n-Fly method and its ability to catch smallmouth bass in cold deep water. How effective is this method for catching largemouth? At what depth do you fis it? Same type of jigs? Any help would be appreciated.

We have caught some on drops from the current and a long drop-offs with little or no wood. In flowing water, anything that creates an eddy or pocket(in swifter creeks) has the chance of holding a suspended fish. Depending on the depths and water clarity the depths may vary a little...
But yes.....LM will nail...I have a 3 and a 2.5lb already this yr and took the picture of Splitshot with that 5.4......
We've caught about 30 fish in 4 trips. Not real good numbers but we were just sorta getting the feel for the rig. It takes some getting used to the first couple of times.
It's fun though
