Fishing Cumberland River

A friend and I are thinking about fishing Cumberland River between Crokus Creek and Burkesville.

Anynody fished Cumberland River lately?

Any ideas on what baits and tackle to use?

Any thing we need to know before we go?

Depends on what you're fishing for, stripers or trout? If you're fishing for trout you can't go wrong with an Acme Kastmaster spoon in the colors of Chrome, Gold, Rainbow and Brown Trout...as for the stripers I believe trolling with live bait will do the trick.

A friend and I fished this same area Tuesday. Fished YoZuri's and similar baits and only caught and released 1 rainbow. The fog was heavy...too heavy to run in till mid morning and then again mid afternoon after a spat of rain came thru. There was alot of water that day.
