You didn't mention the area location of the company. If Louisville area, consider guided trip on Patoka Lake. If located in western end of state, contact Dave Stewart on Ky. Lake.
Good Luck

My company would like to take about 10 people on a 2 day fishing trip somewhere in the area. Assuming most of the group would have no experience or equipment, and we'd need somewhere to stay overnight, anyone have any ideas about trips we could check out? I don't think we'd be too particular in terms of types of fish, etc.
Thanks.

I would go to the lake cumberland state park in Jamestown. Beautiful area, nice facilities on the water, golf course, meeting rooms, excellent food.
Go to Kentucky Lake or Barkley, rent a couple of pontoons, and fish for catfish or anything that will bite live bait! I'd suggest minnows along a channel bend, maybe like by the Ashland terminal on Barkley, you'll catch sauger and catfish like crazy! Buzzard Rock Marina has some nice cabins, a pool, a good restaurant/bar, and live entertainment on the weekends! It's the place to be for company outings! If you want a guide, check out Dave Stewart or Rodney Hairgrove. Rodney is the crappie king! Also, give Moors a try as well, they have a very nice lodge in addition to their cabins.
Rodney also is really good at handling corporate outings. This time of year, your best bet is for white bass. When you get to catching them in the jumps it makes for some AWESOME fast action!!!!
Rodney does a good job with the corporate outings...I don't do corporate outings but Rodney does contact me to assist him if I am available with his corporate outings if someone in the group wants to go bass fishing.
Mr. Stewart,
I wasn't trying to short you any customers, I just knew you didn't do corporate outings.......from what I hear you're the one to call for great bass fishing!
As far as Lake Cumberland, the trout hatchery is close by and hatchery creek is very easy to fish. I have taken my daughter and her friends there and they had aball.
I did not take it that you were...I was plugging Rodney for corporate outings also. I have no problem with anyone recommending any guide down here.
Thanks. How do I contact Rodney?
You can call Rodney at 270-362-0147
