    Lake Cumberland

Is the ramp at the State Park near the dam also known as the Pumpkin Creek ramp?
    Thanks

    RE: Lake Cumberland

The ramp at the dam is neither the State Park ramp or Pumpkin Creek. If you turn off US127 and go up into the state park and then turn to your left before you get all the way back into the state park you will find Pumpkin Creek Ramp. Some call it the state park ramp now for the original state park ramp is no longer in service. Pumpkin Creek ramp will bring you into Jamestown / State Park marina. You can also put in at the Jamestown ramp and come into the same area. Personally the pumpkin creek ramp is better due to easier parking. Hope this helps.

    RE: Lake Cumberland

The ramp located at Wolf Creek Dam is called Halcoms Landing and as elnutsmalljaws said the Pumpkin Creek ramp is on the road that leads dowm to the State Park but the ramp it self is about a mile way from the State Park Marina. Pumpkin Creek Ramp (in the State Park) and Holcams Landing (located at the Dam) are a good 15 miles apart buy water or a 10 minute drive buy land.

Thanks for the info. I have scheduled an ABA tournament there in Jan and Feb. I just received a book from the State on most of the lakes and ramp information and it did not list this ramp as Pumpkin Creek. That is the only name I have ever known it as. Thanks again,

    RE: Lake Cumberland

Glad we could help you out. The sign you turn left at about one mile before you get to the State Park Marina clearly calls it Pumpkin Creek Boat Ramp but alot of people still call it the state park ramp just because it is located on the road that leads into the park and it is within one mile of the State Park Marina. So just to make sure everbodys knows what ramp you are talking about I would list it on the flier as ...Lake Cumberland State Park Pumpkin Creek Ramp.

BTW: ABA does not have the 07 district 33 or 87 schedule posted yet. I strongly considered fishing ABA this year but did not for various reasons but I may look back into it for 07.

The 87 district schedule is on the tournament board.
