First off thanks those who responded to my request about any news/info for Malone.

Fished Sat morning and Sat night (in the rain storm)

Sat was a slow start and caught 4 small cats that were no more than 10 inches long. Towards mid morning I moved to a rock wall and started catching alot of small gills, and the like. Caught 6 keeper gills, and then caught two keepers cats. Was fishing with wax worms, nightcrawlers, liver and crickets. They bit on everything.

Sat night was much better despite the storm (probably helped).

Caught 5 keeper cats and had three (keepers) more that got off.

Nice lake with plenty of fish, but had difficulty locating numbers of the keeper sizes. Caught 10 or more cats in the 8-10 inch range, so hopefully the make it and the fishing should be better in yrs to come.

I guess a recent stocking had been done because the small cats had the same color, and length.

Also, a fish survery guy with the KDFW was making his rounds.
