    Buying A Honda

Some of you may have seen that big white BumbleBee with over sized 225 Honda and some of you may know the story about the accident it caused. Honda was nice enough to replace the first 225 I bought after a year of trying to find out why it shuts down in heavy waves. The new 2006 225 was installed and everybody was happy. Then here we go again, same problem, same Honda Tech telling me they can,t find a problem. Finally that tech gives up and I get a new tech that tells me he,s not willing to go out in heavy waves. Our next and last phone call he told me that Honda is suggesting to all bassboat and offshore boat owners that if the water is rough you probably should not go out that day and thats the last I,ve heard from Honda, so if you see me out on the water please don,t ride behind me it could an accident for both of us,Bill.

    Bumblebee......

I don't know what actions you are currently taking, but if you would like to discuss, send me an email at [email protected] with a number where I can call you.

I've had similar problems with manufactureres and have some ideas that may help you out. I know they helped .... or worked for me.

    Good luck,

    Tight lines and God Bless

Go to bassboatcentral.com and ask those guys. I believe they have a Honda Motor board there.

    RE: Buying A Honda

I was talking with one of my clients this past weekend and he has had some problems with his big Honda four stroke. It seems there are two small exhaust ports on the back of the engine just above the waterline and when water gets in them it screws up the engine's oxygen sensor. He told me he could not trim it all the way down because of this...don't know if this is the problem you are having or not but thought I would throw it out there for you.
