State road 64 west till you get into a small town called Eckerty. Turn right at caution light onto Hwy 145. Painters will be 2-3 miles on the right. You will pass over branches or creeks of Patoka before turning right to get to Painters ramp.

Let us know how you guys do please. Or at least give us some water temp readings from Painters Creek.
It should be nice this coming weekend.
I noticed that the Corp of Engineers 9/11/06 water temp report showed little DO below 5 ft. Not sure what is going on with that do profile as it looked pretty squirley. But if it' correct the fish will be in shallow water near weeds that are actively growing and producing oxygen when the sun shines. There was little amounts of oxygen shown anywere below 5 ft. Water at 25 deg C if saturated with oxygen should have more than 5.7 ppm of do. Not sure who is taking the DO measurements but they need to run a test on a sample and compare the results against the same water sample tested via the Winkler DO method. I suspect that the DO analyzer or probe is screwed up. The epilimnion should have much more dissolved oxygen than what this report shows.
Here is the link ot the corps patoka lake 9/11/06 data report on lake temp and do.
If you compare this years readings with the average readings form the past you can see that the data is schewed and dose not compare with the data of past years. Bad data is worst than no data at all.

From Interstate 64 west...Take the Hwy 150 to Greenville & Galena exit to Hwy 64 West follow to Hwy 145 turn right and follow road to Paynter Creek Boat ramp....Ramp will be about 5 to 7 miles up the road, when you come upon a bridge and the HWY looking like it's going uphill across the bridge, the entrance to the Ramp will be just across the bridge on the right side.....
Call me if you need further directions: (502) 333-0100 after 4:00 pm
