I have a 40 HP - 4 Stoke Mercury outboard that can only be used for parts. The lower unit is in good shape, and I'm not sure what else is usable or not. The motor got a little wet last weekend and has a small hole in the power head. The flywheel, carburetors, starter and most other parts are still where they are supposed to be.

I cannot find the name plate, but someone helped me with this info; the Serial Group is OC159200 and above, and the Year Range is 1989 or above. Someone else told me that it was a 1994 (maybe a classic 50).

If you know of anyone that might need a good lower unit and /or other motor parts, please pass this info to them. I can supply pictures if someone is interested.
