    BUCKHORN MUSKIE

Has anyone fished buckhorn recently? Ive not been this year but it is getting time again for some great muskie action. I went 4 times last year and landed 5. Anyone fished recently?

Had a 20+ pounder blow up on a spinnerbait last Friday evening. She was in a weed bed and had the water muddy all around her. I figured it was a carp, but the muskie hit 1/2 through the cast and never struck the bait. Hope this helps.

Fish backs of creeks around weeds and you will get some action. Been there twice in September. Caught some and seen several.

What are the basics to Buckhorn lake muskie. I have a business trip in late October and would like to try it for a half day. Any help would be deeply appreciated.

I heard they moved the size to 48" That should make good muskie fishing

Going to be heading down to Buckhorn this weekend, with an unexperienced muskie fisherman, any advice. We will be camping are any muskie being caught below the ****, in the river.

The size limit is 40 inches but catch and release is always appreciated. I have not heard anything about the river. Spinner baits and bucktails (white) have always done well at buckhorn.

    Good luck

Excellent fishin below the ****. Try the left side and the mouth of the creek up to the first riffle. Hawg caller spinnerbaits with the triple blade or a bombejointed in firetiger are killer there. I went there last fall and caught 3 muskie over 30' on my first 3 casts. this sound unrealistic but if there in there they will hit ! Bes time is when they generate.
