    RE: dale hollow

I am heading down Friday and Saturday with a small group of guys. We are fishing out of Wisdom. I haven't heard any reports, but I know I am looking forward to getting out there. If you see a black javelin stop by and say hey and we can swap some info.

We are headed down there this weekend as well. Have about eight of us. Will try to look you up. What are you going to through at them?

I don't think they will be on the flats yet. From what I know water temp needs to be closer to 60 and it is avg around 67-69.

I am going to try deep points and live bait.

If that doesn't work I will try deep crank baits casting and trolling.

    What do you think

I have no idea what to use. This will only be my third time on Dale and my first time on Dale in the fall. I have been once during summer and once during winter.

I have been told to tie on a spinner bait and a crank bait. We are also going to use live crawfish.

    Your both right :-)
Always keep a SB and crank tied anytime of the year there but, your best bet will be shinners in the middle of the creeks and points early and late. Good Luck :-)

:-)I made the mistake of taking my brother and good friend on their first all night trip to DH. They were bit badddd. We had several good to great nights on DH during the summer. I must admit I can't wait to get back again. We will be throwing jigs at night and topwater in the morning. We might haul some shiners for early and late.

If we don't catch a fish we will have had a great time just being at one of God's earthly gem's. We will be in the mid to lower end of DH. Black and blue Stratos 285. Stop by and say hi.

We are blessed and highly favored as one of my teacher's always said.

How'd you guys do this weekend? I got to Wisdom about 2, fished for a few hours. Had a large mouth break my line at the boat, small smallie. My buddies arrived at 6 and went out while I was doing some sermon work and they only caught one.

Saturday - NOTHING! My partner caught a nice KY. talked to people at the dock and they were getting skunked too.

We threw everything - topwater, live bait, spinner bait, crank bait, jig.

Some guys said they tore it up on a buzz bait all day Friday though.

Hope you all did better than me

We arrived at DH about 8pm Friday night and ventured out of Cedar Hill. Got 6 smallies in the boat throwing black and blue 3/16 & 1/4 oz. jigs. The biggest went 4lbs 12 oz and the rest around 3 1/2 to 4lbs. Had 5 fish on that were in the same class but not in the boat. Of course all fished released. All of the fish came off of main lake points in 10 to 15 feet of water.

Did not see a lot of top water action. Thought we might tie into fish in the jumps.

Again, the Lord provided some of the most spectacular scenery both at night and Sat. morning.

Thanks for reporting. I'll stay in touch about a possible Nov. 3 trip to DH.

    God's Blessing

We tried everything but buzz baits. Our best bet was on lake points casting shiners out in deep water. Left the bail open and let the fish take line and then set the hook.

Caught six nice smallies and a few dinks. Caught two cats as well.

We videoed two of the catches and will send them in.

The trees were outstanding and the weather was nice.

We also found a nice small cabin to stay in close to Holly Creek and the sawmill.

Yes, I was definately amazed - the beauty of of the surrounding definately numbed me getting skunked on Saturday. I am hoping to go back again soon.

    Thanks for the report guys.
