Has ABA announced where the 2007 classic will be?
Go to www.americanbassanglers.com.
I did. All of the stuff that I found is still talking about the 2006 classic.
The ABA Grand National will be announced some time early next year. I dates will be announced sooner so you can make plans. Keep checking the ABA website for updates.
The ABA will be announcing the regional tournament sites before the national site is revealed. The ABA is trying to avoid jackpoters from joining for just one year. With the new format this should help, but know matter where it is held someone will be a local.

Well that bites. I was thinking about fishing, but I'm not going to join if I don't even know where the classic will be.
Did you look at what it takes to qualify for the Nationals. First you must finish in the top 500 anglers in your Region,by fishing 4-one days events and a 2-day event, which is very do-able. Then you must finish in the top 50 anglers at the regional event. Which then takes the top 50 anglers from the four regions, plus the 50 anglers from the 2006 National event and they fish for the National winner. The ABA is for the weekend angler, which gives the angler an opportunity to win big cash and prizes you must qualify. You can fish any tournament in any division to add up points to qualify for the regionals. Basswipe, go back and read what the ABA has to offer
I think you will be pleased. Good luck
etec could not have stated things more clearly.
The ABA is (imop)is the very best circut going for the weekend angler. While others may have bigger payouts, the ABA for 2007 is $70.00 which will include big fish pot and will be paying out 70% at the ramp. If you look at everything that is given out and paid out going all the way through the nationals in is well over 100%. This years nationals will be a no entry fee event.
The one thing that etec did not mention, the anglers that finish 51-100 at each regional will be invided to the nationals as non-boaters to compete against non-boaters in a no entry fee tournament. Nons will be fishing only against other non boaters. The ABA will also be giving away a draw boat at each regional event. You will need to be particapating at the regional in order to be enterd into this draw.
There are some many other things going on with the ABA and its sponsors, I would ask that you check out their website, if you are at all interested in fishing what I think is the best draw trail around.
