FnF Get Together
I can not get any answers from the Lake Cumberland State Park.
I am seriously thinking of changing the location of the FNF get Together to Dale Hollow. I know I can get a good price at Horse Creek.
How about it guys... what do you think..
Go to the HOME of the FnF for the Get Together the first time.. and work out a way to do Cumberland next year?

Dale Versus Cumberland
Thomas the manager will charge $20.00 per person per nite in the motels and cabins. We fill the motel first then start filling the cabins nearest the Motel.
That is EXTREMELY reasonable and cheaper than the State Park.
I will get up in the AM to cook breakfast in the community kitchen at the Motel for $3.00 per person. Eggs Bacon and Toast. Coffe Too.
Let me know what you think.

RE: Dale Versus Cumberland
That really sounds good. It's great to see Horse's Creek step up to the plate.
I'll see what I can round up on my end.

Thanks Billy,
and it will be easier to get Stephen and Bob Coan and other guides to come and talk to us about the Float and Fly as well.

Post if you are coming to Float and Fly weekend
I need a count of who is coming to the get together for the Float and Fly Weekend

RE: Post if you are coming to Float and Fly weekend
Is this open to anyone? Never F-N-F but would really enjoy trying to learn.
When is it?
Thanks,

RE: Post if you are coming to Float and Fly weekend
Open to anyone who reads this board. We love to teach and we love to learn. Come on down and fish with us. We will introduce you to the guys who have PROMOTED the Float and Fly and developed it from its early beginnings.
Charlie Nuckols developed it, his brother continues it, but Bob Coan and Stephen Headrick have been the ones to get it out into the mainstream media. Bob even developed a bobber JUST for Float and Fly.

Let me know what weekend this is. I would love to get together and try the FnF. Just got my FNF rod in this week.

RE: Post if you are coming to Float and Fly weekend
Second full weekend in December. 8th, 9th and 10th of December.
There will be some casting classes early on Saturday and on Sunday at the Dock for folks wanting some expertise from Bob Coan or myself and hoping to put together some seminars in the evening at the Motel Kitchen.
Maybe Redneckshadrap and his boys could do a seminar on tying the jig that we call the fly.
ALSO FloatandFly.com is looking for a World Record Float and Fly Smallmouth and other fish. The rules are at FloatAndFly.com for setting the World Record. Since it will be winter and cold bring the fish to the dock for verification.
We can even have an informal tournament if you would like.
Say maybe $10.00 per person or something of that nature on Saturday or Sunday. Biggest Fish wins.

Count me in, sounds good. Do I call horse Creek or are the rooms and cabins already reserved? Are you trying to get together to fish Fri, Sat, and Sun, or just Sat, and Sun?
I will be there Friday night. Go ahead and call Horse Creek and reserve your place. The $20.00 is for one person and there are 2 to a room so if you want the room to yourself it is $35.00.
Otherwise tell Thomas you don't mind who rooms with you. I will try to bring enough food for Saturday and Sunday Morning Breakfast.

Go Ahead and BOOK ROOMS
Call Horse Creek and reserve your rooms for that weekend.
It is the weekend of December 8th, 9th, and 10th. Stay as many days as you want or as few. Come early and book a room and fish, or if you can only come late then come Saturday and fish for a while on Sunday.
This is more of a get together to exchange ideas, learn and have fun.
I am sure that Billy will bring his tying materials and tie some jigs for folks. I am going to bring some of mine and do so as well. I may even try a little Fox Hair and Duck Feather combo.
"When IS duck season" I have a few ducks I can harvest so I will have some duck feathers.
