I was there Saturday and caught some stripers farther back into the creeks, about 1/3 of the way in.
Fished the same part of the lake you did....

Started Thursday morning from J-town ramp at 530, Fished Jamestown walls to low gap, Lilly, and Greasy creeks with shiners running from 20 feet to 70 feet, 8 rods going at a time at staggered depth. Fished the late afternoon outside Low Gap, on the south side, same tactics. Late evning, started half way to Wolfe from Jamestown, pulled boards and did downpoles, shiners, 20-70 foot staggered, and went from there to Wolfe, across the mouth of Lilly, then folowed the channel clear to Jamestown. ZILCH....not even a channel Cat.
Friday, 0630 on the water, same deal with boards and down poles, same depth and same bait, all over the mouth of Beaver clean up to the first right to enter Otter, and up and down both side, behind the island, and back out to main lake. Zilch....nada.... I mean I was even having a hard time find a schol, must less attending it! So Friday 3-6 pm headed up to Harmnony Creek, and worked the walls on main lake with down poles to 60 foot, stagger 6 rods up to 30 feet, and bobber fished shiners tight to the walls as I krept along. No Stripers, but KY bass, Small mouth, and some serious channel cats.
I saw not jumps at all though I covered lots of water in the AM and PM prime times.
So if you were there, and did better, tell me where the #@#@$!@#$!@ Stripers were. Did somebody beam them up to la-la land?

A couple of friends and I went out with Bates on thursday and caught 2 short fish right of the bat about 6:30am way back up in a creek. A 21" and a 23". Fog lifted, Sun came up, blue bird clear sky and the fish just layed down. Was pulling shiners on down rods and planer boards from 20 to 60 ft. Left the creek and went out to the main lake and fished 3 more hours across from the cut through above Jamestown. Nothing. Oh well had a great time, Bates was a great guy.
Tryed hard but I guess if they don't bite, they don't bite. Can't wait til next time. Probably around the first week of Dec.

Ditto, I worked the area around the Dam and mouth of Indian Creek. Pulling large shiners at staggard depths 40-60 feet. Marked a lot of fish around 50 feet but not one bite. Went up to Jamestown for a late lunch and pulled the same around the walls there, nothing. Went back to the Dam/Indian Creek area and tried again. I was beginning to think it was me. There were several boats around the Indian Creek area doing the same, water temps from 61-62.
