KY River 11/13/06

Met GW at the local Barbershop/Babysetters house,(It was a good thing I had the boat hooked on the back of the truck)with the haircuts out of the way we decided to go fishing so north on 127 we headed. We had Beaver,Taylorsville or the river to chose from and decided on the river.Put in at Benson creek ramp water looked good and was 52 degrees,We started fishing left of the ramp and had 4 fish with one keeper in 20 mins. Left it and went to the back of the creek water was too clear and down to 48 degees. Went out into the river water very murky and very,very swift went to the rip rap across from Benson creek and had our only smallmouth of the day there. Ran aways up the river and then came back to the creek were we stayed till dark wound up with 14 fish and 6 keepers. 5 keepers on jigs and one on a gold silver buddy. For you river rat guys are there anymore feeder creeks on the stretch of the river and how far is the dam from Benson creek, first time on this stretch of the river.

Thanks for bringing your boat things are so much easier in that ranger, Now for the fishing it was great those fish are pushed up in that creek,can,t blame the fish all that current out in that river--very strong stuff out there for now--So let me thank you guys for the free fishing stuff i won at stoner---I have now caught fish on every item Thanks----------Billy i got 1 fish yesterday dead lining your fly and a few more hits too--Tried the float with no luck---We also had a lot of hits too--them baby's are in there--wow got to love this fishing--MY father was a fisherman too-> three boys two of them love fishing the other one o well what can i say lmao----gl to you all-----PS: now i,m on my way to cedar creek lol lol

YOu fellows need to hit the Steele Branch one more time and fish the place yuo did back in Oct.

It drops at a pretty good pace. We might catch it at the level that we did 2wks ago.

The river is usaully good when its on a rise. Sounds like a good time. Steele Branch or ramp 39....oh yea!
