Dale Temps

Anyone have any knowledge of the current water temps at Dale. Hope it's below 50 by the 25th of Nov.

Average pool for November is about 636 and November's average surface time is 56 degrees, so its not likely go get below fifty by the end of the month.

I just got off the phone with Steve Headrick and he said the temps were 56-57 around mid lake, with a little bit of 58 water left. With this coming Sunday and Monday calling for highs to barely reach 50 and the lows at 32, should easily drop a few more degrees by Thanksgiving. My guess is it should be 51-52 by the end of the month which is close enough to prime for me. He did say that he had 3 fish on the FNF the other day but only tried it for a while. Boys and Girls, it is about to go plum crazy and I hope to be right in the middle of it when it does.

Temps were 55-58 today, with colder water in the creeks, and 57-58 degree water on the main lake.

Fishing was TOUGH today. The guys I was with managed a couple fish on jigs today, but I blanked.

I did try the fly a little, and got a pulldown/zero hookups.

We're fishing tomorrow.........headed up the Obey, and maybe Wolf.

I was down at Dale For a BBC rally I found temps in the mid 50`s I caught 11 slot smallies with 3 that was over 20in was inthe tourny and got alot of fish bit that slot limit hurt, Man tough to think to have to release a 4lb fish that wasn`t a keeper...LOL Had a great time with the guys on trooper island. There was some good fish weighted in,,,2 over 22in. We as in the blind guy and I came in 6th I think. Lest we did get on the list...a number of boats didn`t. The blind guy(Steve) did get a keeper. I know I hadn`t caught that many 20plus fish in a while. It was only the 2nd time and Dale and I think I`m in love. But still wont give up Cumberland..LOL

Dale Temps are 55 as of today. In looking at that wonderful 10 day forecast (Next Wed, Thur and Fri - Highs in uppper 30's and lows in low 20's with spitting rain and sleet) they should drop a few more degrees.

What forecast are you looking at I just checked it on three different sources and not even close to as cold as you are saying, at least around here anyway.

Looks like the high for next Friday is 39 in Louisville with lows in the 20'S. Should start getting right in the next couple of weeks. I'm heading down Friday this week, sure hope they are biting.
