temp last week was in the mid to upper 50's. if you are looking for smallmouth look for windblown points with small patches of grass on them. throw a jig in about 10-20 ft and you should be ok. last weekend i was down there for 2 days and we had 11 smallies over 19" 2 of them were over 20" and one of them was 22". all on jigs on points. drew
I will be there Saturday and Sunday. Shooting pool at the sawmill for dinner. I will let you know how we did.

I am planning on going down there in a couple of weeks. What kind of jigs are you talking about? what colors? This is the first time I have ever been to dale hollow, so I am trying to get as much info as I can.
Usually, if the wind is blowing more than 15 I will go to a 1/2 oz. just to keep contact with the bottom. If its 15 or less, I can get away with 3/8. The only jig is D&L Cumberland Craw. As far as areas go, I fished from sulphur up to Wolf River Marina during the two days. Long tapering points with scattered chunk rock proved best for me. Good luck, let me know how you do. Are there any places around dale hollow that we can buy the jigs? And what about live bait?
The one-stop on hwy 61 in Celina
We fished with live bait on Friday and had 9 fish out on the main lake points. Water was 56 to 58 degrees.
