WoW at Stoner creek

Wow what a day -my first hit i felt something funny so i sat the hook it started to move slow o hell what now IM bringing this fish up i see this tail about 12 inches wow now i know this has not seen me yet,yeap a big carp hooked in the tail with my jig-now i know this thing going to take off soon so i back my drag off--wham he's gone now this fish goes about 70 yards before he slows down--i catch up with him bring him up again wham he's gone again 40 yards this time hmmmm he must be getting tired not we do this over and over i can,t believe this thing is that strong now this fish is 50 lb. at least i got a 30 LB at willisburg lake and this thing makes it look like a baby--now back to this fish and what to do i got a camcorder down in my storage so i want to get this thing on the back deck---Now i get it up to the boat try to get my hand around the tail off he goes again i don't own a net lol..So now i get out a pair of needle nose vice grips get the fish to the back corner of the boat i clamp on the bone on fin of the tail IM pulling this thing up on the deck almost got him he flops and he gone for good now dam now i have a big piece of his tail in the vice grips---wow what a big fish--Now for the bass fishing hit a lot of spots even went down an sat on that spot Banditman showed me fish all over the graph but no hits water temp 44 there--So off i go up in strods creek<--- guess thats right lol--going all the way back start with the fnf im getting hits but no fish so i pick up that ky craw jig with that brush hog tail dipped on the tips with red -bang a fish wow few cast i get another a keeper this time---Now what going on here i look down water temp is 48.5 almost 5 degree diff. from out on stoner- so i go on catching about 8 more--maybe 3 keeper in all but they are fish--so i get back out on stoner to see if the fish are starting to hit there nope it was the water temp. diff. i live an learn theres no end to it lol :-)

I should have known we should have been fishing for carp the other day LOL. But the water being warmer up the creek, never gave it a thought. At least it was better than the other day. Those crappie probably moved on !! :+
