Well, my day went like this-First thing I run in to an old fishing buddy today- Charlie Kahn me and him have been fishing many many years -And he is a darn good one too---Now my day 30 fish 4 kys and the rest were gills a few good ones at that---Tell you now those kys don, t like that sun shine. But them gills were biteing hard today Billy they did not play around today wham--every time that bobber went down i was thinking kys but not to be---our spot was very slow today but i think i found some more spots for them suckers we will see--Now my next trip Friday IM going back to Cedar Creek its been a while i know those fish have missed me there--lol lol

I'll be armed for the 1/32oz box next time I go down there. I've never seen a Blue Gill bite like that in the winter before. I was talking to Joe Elam and he experienced the same thing a couple of weeks ago. He also said the lake had come up about 5ft since he'd been. He fished the same spot we did. That tree pile was dry....LOL!!!!

Dude, I'm jealous, do you work? You got more free time then Elwood, and he takes off work more than Terry Meiners on WHAS radio and I think he gets about 12 weeks a year off. Geeeze, you guys are killing me with this fishing everyday stuff, did you guys win the dang lottery or what??? :P I need to go soon or I'm gonna loose it, I'm getting the shakes......

I did not think th gills bit that good in the winter either, but I was crappie fishing on KY lake in December with crappie jigs and caught one gill after another. I felt like i was a kid again sitting on the dock in July.

I will answer that mhall--no I do not work right now but IM going back to work soon I think. I have been printing for about 35 years an it did get old--So lets just say i took some time off been almost a year now lol--And to add to this it has been one of the greatest years for me in fishing i have caught a lot of fish mostly at cedar creek lake put a lot of hogs in the boat---It has been great, so work is down the road but i will fish until then...up to the very last day---------> GONE FISHING---------LOL LOL

How did I get a dog in this fight? A man takes a few days in January, a few more in February, few more in March in which he bust a hernia, out of action for all of April, May and June, then takes a week in July, 4 days in October, then 2 more weeks in December and I get accused of being associated with Terry Meiners of all people. Patrick Sparks makes a couple at the Free Throw line and Mark is still mad. For the record Mr. Hall, I get 25 days plus any carryover from the previous year and since the majority of 2005, I spent 100 hours per week in this plant I had a bunch to carry over into 2006, which I did not use all of them and I am now carrying over 8 days into 2007 for 33 total. Until these 33 are done, you can't gripe at me or at least can't legally gripe at me, now lets go fishing. I hear one good 5 pound Brown fish will cure the shakes and whatever else ails you.

LOL... biggw, I respect you for not working your guts out. Man, this life is too short not to enjoy it to the fullest. Not a one of us is going to be on our death bed saying, "I sure wish I could stick around on this planet longer so I could work more!!!"

Elwood, are you sure a 5 pound brown fish will cure the shakes? They tend to give me the shakes for a good 20 minutes or so.

You are killing me Elwood, 25 days, good Lord man, LOL. Hey in all seriousness I just like kidding with ya, somebody's got to give it to ya, so I volunteered, and you have got to quit bringing that dang, TRAVELING, play up in my mind, I didn't sleep for two weeks after that. We are gonna have to go fishing together sometime. We can fish, argue, fish, eat, argue, fish, eat again, and then argur some more, it will be a blast. Hey GW, you guys are getting me pumped up on float and fly fishing at Herrington. I live in Harrodsburg and fish Herrington 2-3 times a week. I use a spoon in the winter months but I ALWAYS loved to see a cork go under. Would the Charlie Khan you spoke of be Charlie Conn? Back in the early 80's, Charlie Conn fishing partner was Dan Malone. We all fished the Lunker Hunters Buddy Tournaments on Thursday nites out Chimney Rock. We shared the money in those bass round ups more than once. Just looking in

Thats 33 days this year and I failed to mention the 1 Christmas Holiday since I worked on the 26th and New Years Holiday since I worked on the 1st, which brings it to 35 days (I may just take off DECEMBER), not 25.....I am officially done with the TRAVELING issue and promise to not say the word TRAVELING, WALKING, SHUFFLED HIS FEET, PICKED UP HIS PIVOT FOOT, BUNNY HOP, PATRICK, SPARKS, UK, VICTORY, LOUISVILLE, DEFEAT ever again during this particular post. By the way how smart do you have to be to foul a guy on a 3 point attempt after your coach (Lets see that would be BENEDICT PITINO), just told you not to foul anyone on a 3 point attempt.

Lets go fishing, even if we don't catch any fish, beats the hell out of work and I always love to argue, especially about anything and everything.

Yes that is the same guy-i was not sure on the last name lol--Yes im for one that used to fish them thursday night tour.s too--that was a blast back then great bunch of guys--you need to take the fnf to herrington those kys were a blast and so were them big gills--gl to you :)
