Did anyone happen to catch the year ending Kentucky Afield show last night. Really good show especially the piece where they were absolutly killing those brownfish. I believe they said they had over 40 fish that day. Unbelievable. Anyhow they were catching them on alewives looked like and was wondering how you go about catching them in the winter time. I've used cast nets to catch them in early spring pretty easy just wondering if it is that easy in the winter time and when is the best time to catch them. Would like to try the drifting at Cumberland or even Dale. I believe they even tied up to the bank a couple of times and just fished on the bottom and waited for the bite. Any info out there?
