Walleye on Laurel Lake

Anybody been catching or even fishing for walleye on Laurel Lake. I'm pretty new to Walleye fishing and any help would be awesome.

I've not got on the lake in a while but friends are catching a few while bass fishing with spoons and silver buddies. Give it about a couple of months and the night time action will be on. Some monster walleye in that lake. Several caught over 10 lb and our best night we had 5 fish at 5lb or better and several others that would pull off. Walleye are really booming there.

do you know how deep there fishing. Are they fishing points. Have they been catching them in the daytime.

I would assume they are fishing points. 25-35 ft deep and daytime. I will see if I can get a little more detailed info for you.

any help would be great. See if they'll tell you what spoons also.

Deep side of points 25-30ft. Bass Pro XPS series Chrome, Blue, 1/4 and 1/2 oz. You might also try trolling some cranks like the wally divers in purple, or clown in color. The action has been really good from what I hear may even get to try it myself this week.

It seems to me like not many people fish for walleyes on laurel. i live about 10 minutes from the lake and you never hear of people fishing for them.

Been quite a few caught out of there this year, folks are just a little hesitant on giving up info.LOL Maybe we can get together sometime and fish for a few this year. I'll let you know how I do if I get to go.

I fish laurel once a year. Usually around April. Last year we caught a 10.2, 7.4, and 5.5 using white spinner baits with colorado blades. We always fish off the points and around the edges back about 25ft past the point. They are always about 25ft deep or better. Slow rolling has been a good technique but cranking them back to the boat when I thought I was done has gotten there attention a couple of times.

Sounds good to me. I'd love for someone to give me lessons. i don't see why people are so hesitant. Especially with walleye. It's not like there's 50 tournaments a week on laurel. There's plenty enough walleye in that lake.

i'd say they'll be making a move into the river soon, they usually start in february, but with the weather we're having this winter, an early run wouldn't surprise me.
