riverrat12, were you fishing at the falls of the ohio? if you dont mind me asking. Thanks
Bass, I was back in colgate creek right off the grate that goes into the creek I was wearing waders so I could walk out on it ...caught my stripe there then went down the nature trail under water about 6in to first ledge on the right the big one.....across from where the tree fell in 4monthsago right over the ledge is where there at.Driften minnows ...you will need to keep adjusting depths till ya find them it will change I'd start at 6ft then go down . you can also throw a minnow on the bottom with a jig head it works....good luck.chuck p.s. lots a wood drop in the seams.
Thanks,I wouldnt have imagined you could fish over there with the conditions its in now. We fish over their a lot when the water is slower but it looks as it is going down slowly so hopefully in the next week or so i will get a chance at it.
Bass, by tomorrow or the next day you can probly walk out on the grate without waders. if ya get a chance try this high water ...right where tha clear water meets the mud.it'll surprise ya!chuck.
i may try tomorrow depending on how much they drop it overnight. i have never really been over there when it was this high. is colgate creek off to the right of crappie rock??
bass, park by the dumpster and walk the back part of the nature trail.. the front by crappie rock is under water!!This will take you to the grate...if you have any old trout line and an old treble throw it over one of the bigger trees in the water slowlypull them to one side creating a nice little hole tie it off wait a few minutes and you got a hole..chuck
and yes I'm sorry colgate creek is to the right of crappie rock down the trail ..which is under water!!go down stream...
