Looking to get a couple of gps units for my boat. I would like to find one that is affordable and can have a lake chip installed. I would also like to be able to have a unit that can store your hot spots for future visits to the lake. What do you recommend?
Would like to have one to see while driving and one in front of boat.
Thanks
Brad

Eagle FishElite 480 Gps/Fishfinder 5"x5" screen MMC/SD slot $329.99 New with Transducer and Antenna.
I have two if you are interested for 1000. the first is a lowrance Lms 332c (color) and the second is a Lowrance LMS 480. You can email me at [email protected] if you are interested.
I'm not selling it. Thats what they retail for. I have one and like it very much.
any lowrance LMS 480 between 300-400 seems to be selling good. However that is a sonar capable unit, which you may not need. Be aware that map software is in the range of 99.00 to 150.00 from a few different manufacturers. I personally like a unit that can be connected directly to a PC with a data cable, so you can magage your points. My garmin handheld has this capability and I like it. But the screen is too little so I use it now for speed and general GPS navigation info only. I do use the Ky fishing hot spots maps for the garmin. I just got a used LMS 480. The good thing about lowrance is most newer models can be networked together to share a single external LCG-2000 antennae. I think a color unit would be great, but will cost a little more. Doing research like you're doing is smart thing to do long before buying.

If you don't want to spend that much, you can always get a good handheld and a Ram Mount (you can download same maps to them and hotspots) and you won't have to install it in the boat. But on the same note, I would rather have a color lowrance, I have the LCX 26C HD, and I love it, the new 520 is awesome too and is very affordable.

I use a Garmin 178c they run about 599.99, exceptional color screen and accurancy, very userfriendly, and not a bad price considering other comparable units.
Will you sell them individually, and if so how would you price them?
The lms 480 just sold with my boat. The color Lms 332c I will take 550. for. [email protected]
