    Jellyfish in Cumberland

    That guy asking about musky in cumberland lake how many of you guys have seen jellyfish there????? I for one have seen them o yes wormin was with me at the time lol--has any one seen them too ?

    Yep, I have seen them in several bodies of water in Kentucky...

    Ive seen thousands of them in Harrods creek one day by the first bridge,and oh yes i had a friend with me to witness it.All the guys at work thought i was a nut when i told them but i called one of the people down at the falls observatory and she said yep they dont get much bigger than a nickel.Crazy.

    They are quite plentiful and are a primary food source for several aquatic species. A research team from Woods Hole Institute recently published photographic evidence of this little-known link in the Lake Cumberland food chain.     You guys need to go back to a biology 101 class. There are no freshwater jellyfish in North America. Don't know what you've seen, maybe bryzoan attached to sticks, but it was NOT jellyfish.

    Absolutely not , give me some time and I''l get you the name of those things. They are ugly and do look like what you are saying but they are most certainly NOT jellyfish.

    Bryozoan Larva, tell him to look this up on the puter and see if this isn't what he saw.
