Before the water dipped below 50 degree the FNF talk/buzz was all over the place. Now that the water is below 50 I'm not hearing any reports... ??? Unfortunately, I have not been able to make it out lately. I hope to fish the FNF one day next weekend. Is anyone out there doing any good on the fly at Dale, C-land or Laurel? I would think it's prime time!

Just got a cell call from a friend on the lake fishing today (Dale ). They threw FNF from 7am til 12 and only had 1 take down. Went back to the dock and got shad, caught 1 fish right away and nothin for the next 2 hrs. He said they were about to give up and go get warm.
Sorry I know this isn;t what we want to hear. The fish bit better for in the sunshine on friday 26th. But tomorrow is " another day".

I posted FNF results for Jan 20th and asked for other results but got none. But here goes anyways, We had two nice smallies on the 20th (pink and white- 8 ft. deep) one 5 pounder and the other 4.5. On the 27th, we had 3 nice kentuckys with 4 smallies, on 20.5 incher. Friend had a 19.5 incher. Most came on blue/duck/chart. One 17 3/4 incher on regular jig. There's mine and I'll post again if I can go due to bad roads. Water was 48-49 on the 20th and 46-47 on the 27th. Only got to fish 4.5 hours or so on these days because I had to go to work that evening. They are a bitin'.
Good fishing,

I hopefully am heading to Dale in the morning, getting up around 3am to check the weather down that way. If it looks okay I'm outta here. I will be trying the F&F for the first time, and will post how it went on Sunday. Been looking forward to this weekend for weeks, so Please Lord let the roads be clear enough to get there.Amen

Be careful the weather man said the roads " could " be slick early in the morning!
Thanks for all the info everybody. We are planing to go to the Hollow on Saturday the 3rd. I will post how we do if we go. I have fished Dale Hollow for many years and usually have pretty go luck. I would say I have had about a 75% success ratio or more of catching fish especially this time of year. The last three times this season, we have blanked. Hope to get out of this slump Saturday.
