Just a wonderful start to 2007

    Well lets see now.....
    a. Another barge hits a bridge in the Ohio, and the cats are full of salt now.
    b. Doc says my ticker is acting up. Might be time to work on the plumbing.
    c. Boss says I might lose my job if I don't "volunteer" to move to Detroit.
    d. Boss says this 2 months after my house is finally paid off, in a low cost of living area, and he wants me to move to a high cost, high crime, and declining auto industry city...........yea......right.
    e. Now that the house is paid off, wife decides she wants a different one, with bedrooms on the first floor. Seems like all she can find is ones with price tags some what higher than what we could sell ours for.
    f. Favorite fishing hole, Cumberland, has a leak, and most ramps I go to are further from the water than what Elizabethtown is.

Then, all of a sudden, ......a ray of hope........inspiration...........
    THE COLTS WIN THE SUPERBOWL!!!!!!!!!

Things just ain't so gloomy now, seeing things differently now.
    a. Barge is no big deal, catfish from the Ohio taste so bad the salt will do them good.
    b. Called Rotor-Router, and they say they can do the bypass for half price, and the local boat dealer says he's done good since they replaced his heart with a Rule 800 GPH bilge pump, so I might just try that.
    c. Since the wife wants a new house, and the boss is on my butt to move, I've decide to get a win-win. I'm gonna move the wife to a new house in Detroit. I'm taking her job when she leaves. I figure the divorce will cost me half of her current jobs pay, which is only half of what I earn, so I must come out ahead here somewhere.
    d. Gonna sell the boat to pay the wife's moving expenses, and buy an ATV, and fish off the banks at Cumberland. This way I'll be able to find most of my old rods I lost, that sank to the bottom years back, get most of my lures back, and don't half to be swimming back if the motor dies or I hit more of the April to May drift and sink the boat. Just walk back to the truck. ATV don't need insured, so will save some money there. ATV don't have to be registered each year, so will save the taxes. With planner boards and rod holders on the ATV racks, I can still troll tight to the bank. No more jet ski wakes.

So I'd like to thank the Colts for solving all my problems so far this year..........Man, if they lose next year, I'm gonna be in serious trouble!!!!!!!!!!

You know bob, when you go on these rants I usually post them on the wall at the office and use them as a monday morning pick-me-up. Its good stuff, maybe you should write a weekly column, "Captain Cynicism's Weekly Voyage"

Great material Bob, I usually glance at the "Last Post" column to see if your name is there, and that is usually my first goto. Thought you might have a good story for Elnut. I am sure some of your adventures would cheer him up

Guess you could pull a couple yellow birds with an ATV. If it catches on tempers may get a little hotter when it's time to pass.
Could pull a couple boards while walking if you needed the exercise except instead of hitting the logs you would trip over them. Bank fishing would take on new meeting.
