Very good post. It's hard to know sometimes, when reading text, exactly what the feeling behind the words is.I thought when I read your post, you may have had a 'beef" with these guys, glad to know that's not the case.

I few weeks ago I posted a remark about Stephen Headrick and his yellow jigs and then went on to say he was just selling jigs well folks this was sarcasm nothing more...My last comment was about Bob Coan it was also meant in a purely sarcastic manner , Both of these men have helped me on a number of occasions and I meant no disrespect to either. I have fished with Bob on a number of occasions and unfortunatly Bob did not know I was stratosjoe. Stephen pointed out the yellow jig to me just three weeks ago when I was at the hollow, trying to put us into some good ones. I hope this is read by all! again my apology to both men Joe Grave (stratosjo)

I don't know Bob all that well but do know Steve Headrick pretty good. As a matter of fact, I was talking to him a couple of hours ago on the phone about how the fishing was as he was inquiring about how I was doing after my surgery. Steve does not promote a certain color jig or bait just because he is trying to sell products at his store. He is a stand up guy that wants to see people catch fish and have a good time at Dale Hollow in hopes of many more return trips by us fishermen to the area. Yes, he does have a store, restaurant and the best tackle shop around but I have spent many hours in the boat with him plus sitting at the table talking about fishing and life in general to know a good human being when I meet one. Steve is certainly on that level and it was nice of you to clear this matter up. As far as the yellow jig is concerned, I was in the boat with him when I brought in a 5 plus pound Brownfish on my SECOND cast ever using this bait. I was just as skeptical as others are up until that point in time. I have MANY of them in my box now plus other colors as well, which were not even discussed.
Yep me and wormin own a few of those yellow jigs lol![]()

No offence taken. I simply took your remark out of context. I missunderstood

Muskie Man if you want some good BBQ, go to Ky Lake to the BBQ place just down the street from the "Baits and Bullets" tackle shop in Aurora. I don't know the exact same name but they share the parking lot with the Gas Station right there on the corner. If you go across 68/80 bridge and turn right going into Aurora, past the few hotels and resorts you will see it on your right side. Now that is some good BBQ with no dis-respect to Headricks place, but I love it. Try their BBQ Bologna sandwich while you are there for it is habit forming. I eat there pretty much every night I stay at Ky Lake. I usually stay in the area and put in at Ken Lake or Fenton so it is convenient.
I've tried that B-Que and it's good ! A differrent style than One Stop, but still pretty good !
StratoesJoe --does that mean you, Bob Coan, and Steve Headrick are going to be taking warm showers together now that ya'll have made up :-) just kidding -- but if they give up some of their honey-holes where to catch them brown fish, move over and I'll join ya'll......
