Tom;
I am not familiar with their accomodations, but the location is at the EXTREME east end of the lake. Don't know where you plan on fishing, but if you plan on seeing the larger part of the lake, you better have a fast boat, and lotsa gas.!

We are planning a trip to Dale Hollow. Anyone know about Eastport Marina. WE have 15 people and wanted to be on the water and near a marina. It is the only place we could find that fit our budget.
What is it like? Are the accomodations okay? Just wanted to know the good and the bad.
Thanks

Tom; I haven't been there in several years, but it is one of the older if not the oldest marina on the lake. I am like phoenix and don't know their set up as far as accomodations go as of current conditions of their rentals and cabins, but It use to be difinitely a fishing camp type marina. Tucked away at the most upper end of the lake, it use to offer good fishing in the early spring in that area, but as stated you better have a fast boat and alot of gas money if you want to do any running at all to see the rest of the lake. Don't know what time frame you and your party are looking at but a nice place that I have been to is star point marina and restaurant, which is more centrally located in the middle part of the lake. You can also do a goggle search and type in dale hollow lake and see some other places on the lake listed with what they have to offer. The webb site for star point is this if you want to check it out. Good luck...283

I was down at eastport back in the fall. The cabin we stayed in was nice, it was Bear Necessities. We were about 5 minutes from the dock. The dock was nice we rented a covered boat slip and keep the boat in the water the whole time. It was nice going down to the dock and the boat was ready to go and dry. Just unhooked battery charge and off we went. Yes you are pretty far from main lake. About 30 minutes at 60 mph. Heard they have a really nice walleye run end of march first of april at that end of the lake. People who run it are very nice and accomadating. If you want the main lake look somewhere else, if you don't mine being up the river its a pretty nice place to be.
Hope this helps.
