I have heard that Saugers and some male eyes are being caught on the French Broad right now but have not been myself. May go down this weekend and check it out. Crappie have been spotty but should pick up.

You will be hitting it about right if the weather holds!

Thanks for the info Stonewall. Talked to Dad last night. They just got back from Dandridge. Said he talked to a couple locals that were catching a few good crappie. Not so much on the eyes yet. Trying to get time around this baseball coaching stuff. Seems like it starts earlier every year. Again, thanks for the info. If I hear any more I'll let you know.

I will do the same. I plan on getting over that way Saturday as long as mother nature co-ops. Yea I thought Baseball was a warm weather sport, a guy I coach football with says he is ready to give baseball up b/c of the earlier starts each year.

Spring ball starts April 10th. Practice starts next week. We played All-Stars last year. Finished second weekend in August. Started fall ball Labor Day weekend. Finished mid-October. Started back with lessons after Thanksgiving. I guess there will be plenty of "DAD" time after the kids are grown and on there own. But for now, there is a lot of night fishin' when it warms up enough.
