    Swindle Day 2 Catch DQ'd

Looks like some aggressive boating got him disqualified.

    Rick,
G-Man did make fun of Trips legs and hair or lack of it on the stage. Wonder if that factored into Trips decision to DQ the G-Man???? LOL!!!!

I just watched the video on ESPN.com. He sure did thread the needle on Randy's boat and the camera boat. He might have wanted more space between the boats and being in the Classic probably had him jacked up but he would have pissed anyone off coming that close to another boat.

Based on that video, he deserved to be DQ'd.

Yeah he deserved this DQ. That rooster tail sprayed all over that spectator boat. I don't think Trip had a choice.

Hey Mark I'm sure making fum of those chicken legs didn't help for sure.

there maybe more to it than that. This from Steve Bowman

"Judging by the video I watched, Swindle was boating up river, came up on Randy Howell with a small flotilla of spectators. He slows down, makes a hand signal to Howell on which direction he should boat, may have actually got a hand wave and the G-Man showers down and runs through the flotilla.

And he passed extremely close. Close enough to be deemed unsafe by a lot of folks."

I just got home and am going to watch it, but not sure it is cut and dry like it first sounded.

The only problem with enforcing the rules in tournaments is like enforcing them in golf and NASCAR, it is all arbitrary.

LIke I said, I haven't seen it yet, but will tonight.

Listen to him feathering the throttle trying to get the boat to turn. He deserved everything he got from that. If he would have lost control of that boat, he would have taken out himself, a camera boat and possibly another boat to the right.

That was as dumb as Ike going nuts in last years Classic!

Re: Swindle Day 2 Catch DQ'd

I would guess that Swindle was upriver as he said at yesterday's weigh-in and he made a comment, "there had better not be anybody else up there other then the 3 that was there the first day" Or something of that nature. I am only speculating that Randy was on "Swindle's water" and he was pissed. Shoot, I've seen closer boats then that many, many times---especially on the Ohio River and in some of the small creeks. Not saying it's right, but things like this happen all the time---especially when you are on "someone's spot"
Since ESPN has taken BASS Hollywood style---the Classic always has to have a DRAMA of some kind. Shoot, Swindle probably got paid more then $500,000 by ESPN to be the next IKE!!!!! I don't know---stranger things have happened---especially when big money is involved.

I Think He Got Just What He Deserved. I Watched The Video And He Was Way To Close. I Think He Had It Coming Sooner Or Later. I Have Seen Him Show Himself Before. I Remember The Match Fishing With Swindle And Luke Clausen. Swindle Went Way Over The Line Of A Pro And Cried And Cut On Luke The Whole Time They Were Fishing Luke's Style And Water. That Turned Me Against Him That Day. He Is A Crybaby!

I just saw the video, l can't believe someone who claims to be a "professional" bass fisherman would do something like that. I bet he loses a few sponsers over that, and he should.

Re: Swindle Day 2 Catch DQ'd

I, personally wouldn't have done that, I would have idled by him. But, I have had several, several boats just what he did on the water all the time. Competitiors, pleasure boaters, jet skiers, etc. etc. I have NEVER seen anybody get DQ'ed for that. I agree it was dangerous. If I turned in somebody like that in one of any of the tournaments I fish----I would be the one being called a crybaby. Kind of have to put yourself in G-man's shoes. It wasn't right, but at the time he thought it was.
