Anyone at Barren River Lake today? What was the water color around walnut or skaggs creek? It will be to windy tomorrow for me so I'm going to Bass Pro to get a new fish finder. My old one's got the transducer cabel all most cut into. I don't guess you can splice those can ya? I've been told you can't.
I drove over the lake today, there would had been no way for me to be out on that lake, WAAAAYYY too windy. The conditions down at the tailwater were almost impossible to fish with the wind blowing everything everywhere. My estimates were wind gusts of upwards of 50 mph.
The lake at the 31-E overpass at Skaggs was still dry, as was Peter. Whatver water down there was murky and fast moving (at creek-flow level). The main lake at the 31-E overpass was chocolate milk with white-caps. It looked NASTY!!!!!!! The lake at the dam was a deep, dark blue with 3' curlers in the afternoon during peak wind, but much calmer later on. Lake is about 20' below summer pool. I dont have a temp.
As for fishing, we caught some small yellow bass below the dam in the slough. Saw one guy catch a few hybrids down the river a bit. Most everything being caught on FnF.
