Watauga Lake catfish

Has anyone ever fished the Watauga Lake for catfish? If so, can you get 'em from the bank? What should I use for bait? Any help is appreciated. Me and my friends are planning a camping trip there probaly in April, when it warms up.

Look for rocks. I like shad or minnows for bait, alive or dead. You should be able to catch them from the bank esp. on the upper end.
