    Lightbulb new fishing club

how hard would it be to start a new fishing club for the ky b.a.s.s. federation you only need 6 members. i would like to start one. even if it ant a part of b.a.s.s. just start a club to fish diffrent lakes in the area. we could have a club fee that goes into the classic at the end of the year. and have it be so much a tourney. and the classic could be a little more. plus the club does everything be 100% payback. would anybody be interested in doing this or helping get one started.

You would need a llittle start up money or just pay out of you own pocket for stuff. I priced scales a few years ago and the cheapest I found were $300.00
someone may be able to direct you to a cheaper spot than I found. You will need to buy weigh slips or make them on the computer. Other than that I would be interested in fishing it.

i would like to just get people together to start a club where there is no president, or vice pres. where everybody is equal. people take turns each tourny doing weigh-ins. doing paper work if there is any. just people who are competitive butt are willing to help make other people better. and if it was a b.a.s.s chapter how cool would it be to maybee get a club together and send somebody we know and fish with to the bassmaster tour. or flw. everybody starts some where.

It is easy but you are required to have a sec and a pres or it isnt a club besides they need a contact.

and when you do start it be prepared to get some that will be unhappy regardless of how you do it.I have helped run a few and someone will always think the scales aren't right or you don't know how to use them.....and most of all..stick to the rules at all times...i'd love to run a club but work won't permit..

i proubley wont be able to start one anyway i have 4 kids married and work night shift at ford. so durring the week i have the kids early in the mournning wile my wife works. the only thing i would have time for would be the tourneys once or twice a mounth. and maybee a meeting here and there. i would like to be a part of a club just because i love to fish period. but i guess it never herts to dream every now and then. i guess i will just fish tourneys here and there that are open. and fish every chance i get with my kids. matter of fact me and my 4year old boy are fishing rough sunday. it will be his first time fishing off the boat and i am pretty pumped because this is my secound time taking out my first ever boat. so thats just as cool as anything watching your kids and teaching them the sport like you where tought when you where that age.

    o.k rambeld long enough lol

With your given work and home schedule, why not post your interest on bulletin board at your work place and see if you can round up some folks with similar interest and build from there. It all has to start somewhere. You get 4-6 people working the same schedule you do, possibly with the same opportunities to fish, and you have started. 3 guys with boats + 3 friends of those guys = the founding members of a small growing Bass club.
    Good Luck,

    Re: new fishing club

If you are interested in joining the BASS fed Nation or the Ky Bass fed, flw, PM me and I will let you know who to contact. If you would like to start tourny fishing, I would suggest starting as a non boater, it is less expensive and you learn a lot. I need a guarenteed non boater for the Bass Fed Nation qualifers and KBF qualifers. If you are interested leave me a privite message here on the board and I can fill you in on these circuts.

    Hey Rodney,

If you start the Thursday morning tourney, would it be like a four hour thing? Also, what ramp would you be looking to launch from? And, since you have all those GPS spots with the cover, can I be your partner? LOL

    Thanks man,

    Danny
