Hello all,
This is my first time posting on this site. I have really enjoyed reading the posts the past few weeks. This is a great discussion board.
The bite on Barkley was very slow yesterday morning. Caught three around 14 inches on a jerkbait. All around wood. Couldn't buy a bite with a jig.
Moved to Kentucky after lunch and boated around 20 bass between us. Most were in the 14-15 inch size with 3 around 3 pounds. Find the baitfish and use a jerkbait or rattle trap. Jerkbait did catch the most bass. Tried a Jig several times throughout the afternoon without any success.
Saw water temps around 57-58 in a lot of places during the hottest part of the day.
I went out today, and it was about the same on KY Lake. I caught a couple nice ones on a spinnerbait too besides the rattle trap and jerk bait. Caught a couple on shaky head too. I went a few days ago and they were on the main lake points, today, about as far back as you could go.
