Nice fish! Did you keep all the fish? I hope not because those big females need to spread the big fish genes. I bet that was a killer night of fishing. What baits were you using?

I just now got my pictures of the one i caught last april on my computer. I thought they had been deleted but they were on another card. I caught this behemoth At Woodscreek. April 27th at about 3 am. That is definetly the best night of bass fishing i have ever had in my life. I had 14 keepers that night. I had the one you see in the picture which was a 10lb 1oz, a 6-3, a 5-11 and a 4-9. I also had a 19' football spot(I didnt get to weigh it because my batteries ran dead). DCBASSER will agree, there are some hawgs in ole woodscreek.

Sweet fish...
Bummer that you kept it, but one heck of a fish nonetheless.
That bass was the first bass i have ever kept in my life. (except for the ones who swallowed a hook). My grandfather always told me to never, ever keep a bass. He did however say that if i ever got lucky enough to catch a double digit fish, id better put him on the wall. Well its there to stay. I still feel bad for keeping her, i wish i woulda got a fiberglass mount instead. At the moment all i could think about was getting home and showing all of my family. That night will forever go down as the best night ive ever had fishing without a doubt. It was a light drizzle, no wind, and the moon was shinning bright to the best of my knowledge. I was fishing a Black ruby baby brush hawg with a 3/16 ounce black/gold flake sinker. This is going to sound unbelievable but my buddy who was with me was fishing the same bait but without the sinker i had and he did not get 1 single bite! I know it sounds kinda silly, but its the truth.
Very nice fish Jonas. If I have said it once I have said it a hundred times........no place like woodscreek to catch a monster. Seen to many of them caught ...............unfortunatly for me I wasn't the one doing the catching. I still believe the next state record will come out of woodscreek and believe it will happen pretty soon.I just now got my pictures of the one i caught last april on my computer. It's funny how two guys can be using the same bait and have different results. Maybe it was the sinker or line or action you put or didn't put on the lure. I bet after you smoked him a few times he was working that bait pretty fast...lol. I wish KY had some sort of Lunker Program like Texas so we could start recording the catches of huge fish like yours. Wouldn't it be nice to know if you were one of the top 25 who caught a fish over 10lbs in the state? Top 50? Either way i think it would help the statewide fishery since they could use the big momma's for spawning and then stock the lakes with fry from those big fish. Congrats again.
