I live near Barkley and Kentucky. If you figure out how to fish them please let me know. LOL

Seriously, read Dave Stewart's report on this website for bass. For crappie, read Malcom Lane's report. It might be on this site or you might only be able to find it at explorekentuckylake.com. Good luck.

KY Lake Crappie in the Paris TN Big Sandy region are beginning to hit the shallows this week. Fishing should be very good along the banks. I suggest fishing 1ft to 2ft deep along the edges. If you can find any buckbrush you should fish this well. And I think you are going to have a great fishing trip. Last week of March is going to be a good one. Hope you don't mind fishing in some rain though.

the creek right at kutawa has lots of cover to try. I never fished it for crappie, but I'd say there is no reason for them to ever leave that creek.

might want to email Dave Stewart, he may know betterspots.

Just my opinion but I would think if you don't want your mamaw and papaw on the main lake you might want to think about going to Eddy Creek instead of Kuttawa. There are plenty of Crappie and areas in Eddy Creek that would be more suited for them than in Kuttawa.

There are plenty of Crappie in Big Bear Creek and it is more than big enough for your relatives to be able to enjoy themselves without having to go out on the main lake.
