Good Luck at NOLIN !! Finnally

Just writin in to let yall know that I ended up catching 16 crappie this weekend of which 9 were legal size. Thats 18 pieces of fish so I had to clean em up. Had my first fish fry of the year today. Just enough for me but i earned em. Caught all but one on minnows about 2 - 3 feet deep water.
The other i caught on a red and chartruese spider grub. They were all in the flooded shoreline timber. Long fall creek, canaloway creek, and brier creek have been some of the hotspots. The water temp was 66.5 to 67.5 degrees depending on location. Crappie should be spawing anytime now, hopefully this weekend cuz i gotta work this week. We had 53 keepers on Fri. and 22 on Sat. before we got tired of fighting the wind. We probably caught close to that many more that were short. Almost all on jigs. I'm afraid they might spawn out before next weekend, we found water temp on Fri. at 71 degrees and the eggs look ready to go at any time. Also caught my first Nolin walleye. My dad has caught over 100 keepers this week before I got down.
