Military Tournament

Well I just got back from Barkley after fishing a Military tournament. My partner and I spent monday and tuesday pre-fishing, it was tough not a lot of fish hitting our baits. Wed. we caught 3 fish with a total of 8.50 lbs. thur. we caught another 3 fish 10.70 lbs. fri. we again caught 3 fish 11.80 lbs. We placed 28 out of 138 boats. We caught most of the keepers on shackey heads, and crank baits. We ended up catching all of them from 1 spot. It was a area where there was a nice shelf and then a deep drop off. The bad news it they stopped paying at 27th place. I then left and drove to Barren to fish in my local club tournament. It took 12 lbs. to win I was not even close on this one. Oh well I did have fun and now I have a great tan for the summer.

It will happen to ya, the cutoff thing. You did catch fish, had fun and got some vitamin D from the Sun. You did better than me, I was stuck doing yardwork, watching the kids, cleaning the house Sat and entertaining the family for Mothers day. I think I got my kitchen pass for Rough River this Saturday.
