It depends upon the area you live and want to fish. Catfish this time of the year are laying their eyes so the bite may be slow.

My wife and I have been fishing off banks at night trying to catch a few cats, but haven't had any luck. We've been using nightcrawlers for bait. Can anyone help with info, we've fished twiford point and in the murl area.
thanks in advance.

What is the best bank fishing and bait for the beaver creak/murl area? and how is the fishing near fall creak on a boat? thanks in advance

Fishing for cats right now is going to be hit or miss. The females are on the beds for both flatheads and channel cats. It will be better fishing the first couple weeks of July.
Is there any better species to fish for from the banks right now, if so what is the best bait. Hopefully we'll be able to start fishing from a boat next week and the area we will fish in is fall creek, any suggestions for either. thanks in advance.

Well I have never fished where you are but you can fish for bass or panfish and just throw a couple lines in for a stray cat or two. You could also try some dough bait for carp, they are fun to catch......
Best bait I have seen used to catch Cats, is chicken strips soaked in strawberry Jello overnight...Seems that the catfish just love the taste of that jello and the smell of chicken for some reason. P.S. Need to make sure the jello isn't prepared like the directions say, need to keep it in a liquid form so it will soak into the chicken.
I've tried that with poor results. I'll just stick with chicken liver.Best bait I have seen used to catch Cats, is chicken strips soaked in strawberry Jello overnight...Seems that the catfish just love the taste of that jello and the smell of chicken for some reason.
