Kentucky lake 6/13?

I'm thinking about heading down to Ky lake in the morning and try out some fishing. I haven't fished the lake for 9 years and that was only a couple of times back then. It looks like about the closest place for me to put in is Fenton. From looking at the maps I have here, I was thinking about putting in and trying a couple of bays to the north. Don't really care what I catch, but would like to hook a smallmouth or two.

Any suggestions? Any help at all would be appreciated. If I can't make it tomorrow I'm going to try next week.

Check around the main lake points and first secondaries early for some topwater smallmouth....some topwater action early in morning back shallow around the grass also on Lm and an occassional smallie.

I'm hoping to make it to Fenton Thursday the 14th. Did you fish on the 13th? Did you do an good? I am hooked up and ready to go.

I've an open seat if you want to go. I'll be in a Maroon '97 Ford Larriat extended cab, pulling a white/blue and red pin striped TR21. If you want to go out again, and just show up, come on. Heck, bring your boat too if you like. I'm loooking forward to some fun fishing.

I actually meant to say I am going to try to make it on the 14th. Thursday. I'm waiting on a buddy to call me back to see if he can go. My wife is throwing a fit about me driving the 2 1/2 hours each way by myself.
