Might be spelled Beshears Creek off Hwy 44 East towards Taylorsville Lake, but anyway I took my tow sons out and we waded this creek for 2 1/2 hours. We waded from 10 inches of water to 4 feet deep in places. Total we caught 31 fish and 1 crawdad ( young son's catch ). Youngest lost attention span about 45 minutes into the fishing and just started having a good ole time looking around and trying to catch crawdads.
anyway for the species of fish"
1. Small Mouth - 12 with biggest being about 11 1/2"
2. Goggleye / Rock Bass - 8 with biggest about 10"
3. Warmouth - 1 about 4"
4. Sunfish - 10 with biggest about 3"
We did see a Gar about 3 feet long and a couple of turtles...
Overall we had a blast and the water sure felt great. Another angler was on the opposite side from us using a small Green Spinner bait and a Shad colored fluke. He said he went upstream and caught one that went close to 2 lbs on the fluke. We caught all of our fish on either a Mepp's spinner in black or a Beetle Spin with a purple or chartreuse curly tail grub about 1 2/2" long. When we switched to the Chartreuse grub we caught more Small Mouth Bass. Going to go to Floyd's Fork either tomorrow after the Baseball games are over for the day or we'll go as a Father's Day present from the boys....Sounds like a winner to me.......![]()
