Could you be a bit more specific about what kind of repair you need to have done?

Does anyone know of a place I can take my Bass Tracker for hull repair in or around Louisville. Also willing to take it to Lexington if necessary.

There is a Tracker Dealer here in Louisville.. Out on Old Shep right there are Poplar Level Road. Same guys that have the dealership in E-town.. but the name will not come to me. I am sure they could do it...

There is a place out past Pioneer Village on Preston Hwy/61. It is on the left as you are going towards Shepherdsville. They fixed a hole and the bad trailer bunk that caused it on Dad's old Lowe. Good work, fair price can't remember the name.
Thanks Jim. I did not know they did that type of repairs.
I just had to have mine repaired. A couple weeks ago I was towing it to go do some bowfishing. After I launched it, it completely filled up with water in about 3 minutes. Turns out a 2 ft. long piece of broken leaf-spring got kicked up from the road and punched a hole in the bottom big enough to throw a cat thru.
Anyway, a small machine shop here in Ghent tig-welded it for me, cost $85.
if it is alum welding needing to be done, most tool and die shops can do it. usual rate is between 45-60 an hour but watch out, some have a 4 hr min charge. In the Clarkville area, I would call Precision tool and die over by the Volvo truck dealer. Also a shop called ERL in new albany on Charlestown rd, they weld ansd make pcs for barges so they know their stuff in welding. A very good Fab shop is Piccola Mfg in Shepherdsville. Great fab welders, make automotive racks and they have alum welders. I would call first because most shops are hit and miss busy right now. If slow, they would probabaly help you out very easy money for them for a few seconds work.
The only thing I am worried about is welding that close to the foam inside the boat. Worried about catching the boat on fire. Any suggestions ?
If your rivets are leaking I don't know about welding. I had a Tracker years ago that started leaking. The problem is the rivets have gotten loose and in doing so have enlarged the holes. I sent mine back to Bass Pro 3 or 4 times to get the rivets tightened up. It would be ok for a while then start leaking again. I guess you could weld each rivet to solve the problem but I don't know.
I live in Leitchfield, close to Rough River and I would be glad to weld those rivet holes for you. I can tig weld aluminum at my place or yours $40 an hour/ 1 hour minimum.
