anyone see ufo on barkley tuesday night

i dont belive in space ships and aliens but i do belive in an unidentified flying object because i do not know what it was i was fishing along the breaker walls kuttawa when i saw a light streaking light across the lake it look like it started to burn out then appeared to brighten and then bust into pices was going to slow for shooting star but i never thought that it could of been an airplane or something like that i probally saw it for 7 or 8 secounds my friend in the boat saw it for 3 sec we talked it over and thought it was a metorite it was at 12.18am . late thuesday night the 3nd early wensday the 4th did anyone else see this or hear about it.

Just a guess, but what you may have seen was space junk coming back to earth. There are a few hundred thousand pieces of old space missions left up there since the 1950's. Everything from tiny paint chips to whole satellites the size of 18 wheelers, and sooner or later all this stuff comes back. Must have been a real kick to see it.

Could it have been a flare? Those white flares with a parachute can hang around in the air for quite some time!
