    Thank God for docking lights

I was fishing Rough last night and was coming out of Long lick creek and had a feeling that something was wrong and flicked on my docking lights and there was two guys in a bass boat about 40 yards in front of me. I turned to avoid hitting them and couldn't believe that they were there and didn't even have any lights on. They didn't even turn their lights on after I near missed them. I just couldn't believe it! I must have seen something and not recognized it because my wife asked me what made me turn my lights on and I don't know. Every fisherman I know at least flicks his light on and off to let you know that he is there.

Boy just a great thing you turned those light on and kept a tragic accident from happening....Those Bass fishermen should have at least turned their lights on to let you know they were there out of respect for others on the water.....

Re: Thank God for docking lights

Forget the lights, I about got run over at peter cave on saturday in daylight. aman with 5 aboard came around by the bridge, passed 1 pontoon, never let up,full throttle, 30 ft from me, almost ran over another pontoon, got a mean stare from the old man on the pontoon and kept going. The bad thing was that the water patrol was about 150 yrds away looking right at them, waved them came up to me looking for life jackets. I just laughed, shook my head held up 2 and they waved and went away, no license check or livewell check. I guess they were concerned for my safety making sure that if that clown hit me I atleast had access to my lifejackets! Folks, please, show some respect when passing. I know most of the fishermen do but lets keep in mind that we need to police ourselves, we can't depend on the wp to do it for us.
